TMS Electric Component

Brief description of the position:

This position holds the responsibility for the development/localization/testing of electrical systems, functions, and components for thermal management and climatization.

Key Tasks:

1. Development & localization (including testing) of Electrical Systems, functions and Components for Thermal Management, Climatization for the market China.
2. Create hardware specification and development

2. (LAH) for electronic part development during sourcing, development phase and while series maintenance.
3. Planning the timeline of milestones based on process standard and required resources in accordance to the whole vehicle projects.
4. Coordination with development partners from system, software, hardware components, circuit development, layout, mechanics, and testing.
5. Release responsible for electronic part. Prepare release relevant input and information, also organization of activities e.g., testing, protocol, etc. relevant for release.
6. Test steering with cross-functional departments, Vehicle Integration, EMC, etc. Verify the testing documents by JVs and instruct JVs to work out countermeasures to meet the project goals.
7. Maintain constant communication with relevant stakeholders. Report regularly on status to supervisor and upper management. Serve as the point of contact for coordinating topics among Y department, our company’s departments, and the headquarters.
8. Proactively drive the implementation and improvement of current processes and working foundations. Initiate training requirements for this position, as well as providing support and mentoring to inexperienced team members.
9. Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder.
10. Advising other people holding positions at VCIC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible.

Qualification and skills required for the position:

1. Academic degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar.
2. Minimum of three years' experience in the automotive industry, specializing in electronic development, control units, vehicle testing, and other relevant areas.
3. Experience in the field of electronic component development/localization/testing for climatization & TMM, vehicle Bus Network(LIN is a plus), and diagnostic testing. Experience with vehicle testing tools and VW Group processes is a plus.
4. Highly self-motivated, proactive, responsible and reliable, analytical thinking and self-reflection, very good skills in co-operation, communication and conflict management, inter-cultural competence, strong hand-on ability.
5. Language skills: very good language skills in English are necessary(German is a plus), Chinese as native language.
