Traffic Coordinator (1st Shift)

Process shipments in the ERP system. Create BOL's for shipments. Prepare hazardous shipping papers. Coordinate daily with Final Inspection and Marketing/Customer Service groups to ensure on-time deliveries to customers. Process shipments on carrier websites to domestic and International destinations (Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, and supporting documents). Contact carriers for pickups. Process ASN's (Advanced Shipping Notice) per customer

. Will also support Export Control Personnel on Export shipment transactions. Will follow Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. 1+ year of shipment experience in a transportation, logistics, or supply chain role. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions. The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and proficiency with Microsoft Office is a plus. Must be proficient in Excel and Word; will be creating Excel charts and graphs for tracking department performance. Will be required to complete the following certifications and perform the task of processing Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation), IMDG (Int'l Maritime Dangerous Goods Code), and IATA (Int'l Air Transport Assoc.) for documentation, marking, labeling, and packaging of Dangerous Goods.
