Senior/Staff SOC Driver Engineer

Develop and maintain Linux kernel modules and device drivers for ARM server CPUs, including platform code, Device Tree (DT) and ACPI configuration, and kernel customization and optimization. • Implement and debug device drivers for server-class hardware IPs: PCIe controllers, I2C/SPI bus controllers, GPIO, watchdog timers, sensors, and other peripheral devices. • Contribute to KVM virtualization module development and testing, implementing features such as virtual machine creation, device passthrough (VFIO), and virtual interrupt injection. • Design and execute OS-level performance tests and benchmarking using industry-standard tools: SPEC CPU, Stream, Fio, Netperf, and perf. • Collaborate with firmware engineers and hardware designers to define hardware-software interfaces and resolve integration issues. • Support silicon bring-up activities, debugging kernel and driver issues on FPGA, emulation, and silicon platforms. B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. • 5+ years of Linux kernel and device driver development experience, with a proven track record of delivering production-quality drivers. • In-depth understanding of Linux kernel architecture, device driver model (LDM), and kernel subsystems. • Proficient in C programming language, familiar with Linux kernel coding standards and best practices. • Hands-on experience with ARM architecture kernel adaptation, including device tree writing and platform code development. • Strong debugging skills using kernel debugging tools: kgdb, kdump, ftrace, dynamic debug, and perf. • Experience with Linux kernel adaptation for ARM server CPUs and server-class hardware platforms. • Experience with automated testing frameworks for kernel and driver validation. • Familiarity with ARM SystemReady and ServerReady driver compliance requirements. • Understanding of server security architectures and driver-level security hardening practices. • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to accelerate driver development and performance optimization.
