(Senior) Scientist, Discovery Biology

Job Responsibility: We are seeking a highly motivated and creative scientist with biology background to join our discovery biology team. In this vital role, the candidate will directly contribute to preclinical drug discovery activities on a multidisciplinary team. He/she will be responsible for performing in vitro cell-based studies to support therapeutic target validation, mechanism of action exploration, and drug candidate selection. Develop, design and execute general cell-based assays to validate therapeutic target and select drug candidate. Analyze experimental data and draw appropriate conclusions to support decision-making. Present data and results at group meetings and cross-functional meetings. Record data and maintain study records accurately in a timely fashion according to company policies. Prepare work reports as needed. Identify general technical issues and design experiments accordingly for troubleshooting. Familiar with the commonly used techniques in the industry and adopt the technologies in house to meet project

. Requirements: Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Oncology, Immunology or a related field. Work experience in drug discovery or related field is preferred. Skilled in basic biology experimental techniques, such as cell culture, cell-based functional/phenotypic assays (CTG, HTRF, Alphalisa, MSD, ICW, qPCR, ELISA), stable cell line generation, western blot. Experience in high-throughput drug screening (384-well based) and characterization is a plus. Familiar with oncology concepts, such as cell signaling, cell cycle and cell development. Good analytic and problem-solving skills for data analysis and troubleshooting. Adequate English skills to enable literature reading, notebook recording and work report preparation.
