Role overview Turn AI generated concepts into physical reality. We are seeking a pragmatic, hands on Synthetic Medicinal Chemist to join our integrated discovery team in Shanghai. You will design synthetic routes and execute wet lab chemistry to validate AI proposed molecules, accelerate SAR cycles, and de risk projects through high quality compound delivery. This is a delivery focused, client facing role requiring rapid problem solving, close collaboration with computational teams, and rigorous lab execution. Key responsibilities • Translate AI/CADD outputs into feasible synthetic plans: design routes, estimate timelines, and flag synthetic risks and alternatives. • Execute multi step syntheses for novel small molecules, including non traditional/complex scaffolds proposed by AI. • Plan and run focused library syntheses and iterative lead optimization campaigns to support hit to lead progression. • Use parallel/high throughput synthesis and automated purification to maximize throughput and reproducibility. • Operate and troubleshoot analytical methods (LC MS, HPLC, NMR) to confirm identity, purity and stability; integrate analytical data into decision making. • Implement scale up strategies for promising compounds and manage material transfer to CROs/CDMOs when required. • Maintain accurate and timely records in ELN; ensure compliance with SOPs, safety rules and sample tracking. • Collaborate closely with computational chemists, DMPK, assay teams and external partners to interpret results and iterate designs rapidly. • Support client interactions and live design sessions by providing immediate feasibility feedback, synthetic estimates and risk mitigation options. • Contribute to technical reports, patent disclosures and project documentation; mentor junior chemists and promote best practices for AI–chemistry integration.
任职要求
Ph.D. or M.S. in Organic Chemistry, Synthetic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry. • 5+ years’ hands on experience in an industrial wet lab setting (pharma, biotech or high throughput CRO). • Strong track record in synthetic route design, multi step synthesis and purification for medicinal chemistry programs. • Practical experience with parallel/high throughput synthesis workflows and automated purification systems. • Proficiency in analytical techniques: LC MS, HPLC and NMR. • Comfortable and precise record keeping using ELN systems. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to advise on synthetic feasibility in client facing settings and live design sessions. • Ability to work in a fast paced, iterative environment and prioritize multiple projects concurrently. Preferred / Nice to have • Proven history of rapidly synthesizing complex, novel or non traditional scaffolds generated by AI platforms. • Previous experience at high throughput chemistry CROs or hit to lead/medicinal chemistry departments in Pharma. • Co authored patents or publications related to medicinal chemistry or synthetic innovation. • Experience with flow chemistry, automated synthesis hardware or other enabling technologies for rapid compound generation. • Prior involvement in handing off scaled material to CROs/CDMOs and oversight of external synthesis execution.
