Tesla’s Supplier Industrialization team is responsible for critical component development and

activities at suppliers. The job involves communicating well with internal and external teams, traveling to suppliers in different regions, and on-the-spot critical decision making. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SIE to ensure that PCB, VSH and CCS (Cells Contact System) from our suppliers meet our stringent quality, reliability, and regulatory standards, and will collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement in our supply chain. Responsibilities of The Role: • Supplier Quality Assurance: -Ensure PCB, VSH and CCS meet specified quality, reliability, and regulatory standards. -Partner with suppliers to improve quality processes and resolve issues. -Monitor and analyze supplier quality metrics to identify improvement areas. • Audit and Assessment: -Conduct on-site audits of suppliers to assess quality systems and processes. -Evaluate conformance to industry standards and identify non-conformities. -Develop corrective action plans and follow up on implementations. • Issue Resolution: -Serve as primary contact for supplier quality issues of PCB, VSH and CCS. -Analyze root causes of non-conformities and recommend solutions. -Lead implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). • Collaboration and Communication: -Work with cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Procurement) on PCB\VSH\CCS sourcing and assess supply chain risks and mitigation strategies. -Communicate with suppliers on quality expectations and feedback. • Continuous Improvement: -Identify quality trends and suggest process improvements. -Lead cost reduction and efficiency projects in the supply chain. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or semiconductor engineering. • Familiarity with quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001), QMS, and quality tools\methods, e.g., control chart, pareto analysis, etc. • Familiarity with PCB, VSH and CCS manufacturing process with practical experience (e.g., PCB, SMT, hot riveting, laser welding process). • Familiarity with industry norms and standards related to the electronics industry, such as IPC, IEC, etc. • Familiarity with related industry specifications and reliability testing. • Experience in process, quality, yield improvement, or failure analysis in the field of PCB\VSH\CCS with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. • Knows manufacturing processes, reliability assessment and risk prevention of PCB, VSH and CCS. • DFSS experience or related certificates is a plus. • Hands on and ready to work on a fast-paced environment. • Excellent spoken and written English, Mandarin. • Domestic and international travel (expected 30% of the time) is required, sometimes on short notice. • Follow company rules and regulations, strictly adhere to work instructions, actively identify potential safety hazards, promptly report safety hazards and incidents, and make reasonable safety improvement suggestions.
