Plan, develop, and deploy paint process solutions to ensure alignment with Volvo production flow and project change

. Support new model programs (MYC / VPC) and introduction of new materials (primer, basecoat, clearcoat, sealer, wax, NVH foam, etc.) into paint and repair areas. Collaborate with CME to deliver and update Process Information Lists (PIL) for each pre-series. Review and verify supplier simulation deliverables against specifications; monitor takt time performance during industrialization and develop corrective action plans. Manage end-to-end progression of product projects from physical build launch to mass production, leading issue closure across all pre-series stages Actively participate in risk assessment activities and assist paint shops in identifying and resolving product- and process-related issues. Serve as the APAC Paint Application Network Owner, supporting the global paint and paint repair capability network. Maintain close alignment with Commodity and Materials teams to ensure data consistency and version control during industrialization. What you' ll bring In-depth knowledge of end-to-end paint processes, including color, and two-tone applications. Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing, especially paint shop process logic and critical quality control points. Skilled in problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC. Proficient in BMS and VCMS system operations; familiar with Chemsoft processes. Knowledgeable in DPA5 workflow and risk assessment methodologies. Capable of developing and maintaining process documentation (PIL / P-FMEA /Process Control Plan). Cross-functional collaboration: Ability to work effectively with CME, Shop Engineering, suppliers, and Commodity teams. Quality-driven mindset:Strong focus on product quality with proactive identification and mitigation of potential risks.
