We own the platform that enables owners to interact with their cars and developers to build device-connected applications. The platform includes Authentication systems and other back-end services powering vehicles and mobile apps. You will evolve across the tech stack to deliver features to millions of customers and improve our products. We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer specialized in web services and distributed systems. The platform you build will scale novel functionality to millions of users and devices.

Design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs Improve UI/UX for our Authentication experiences Migrate systems to designs with improved maintainability and performance Build device-side software to manage security, connectivity, commands and telemetry Solve problems using distributed, asynchronous messaging Work closely with product, SRE and infrastructure teams Responsibilities 3+ years of strong web development experience building highly-reliable, mission-critical software Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience Extensive experience with frontend and backend development, with frequent production releases Deep knowledge of best practices, information security, and API design principles Experience with React or equivalent Experience with gathering and building requirements from multiple stakeholders Go and Kubernetes a plus This job application may involve an interview with an interviewer outside of Tesla China.
