Tesla is seeking an Audio Engineer within the Infotainment Team who has had 3+ years of design, test, and release responsibility of Audio products. RESPONSIBILITIES • Support the product development of microphones and other audio system products from inception to end of life • Gain a knowledge of our components and audio systems, relative to a vehicle environment and integration • Perform simulations of these acoustic components, systems, and environments • Work with cross-functional teams to create and/or maintain best-in-class products • Interpret, develop, and manage product data, drawings, requirements and specifications • Work with suppliers on design, development, manufacturing processes and validation of audio products • Plan, execute, interpret, and document a functional audio product validation • Troubleshoot, root cause and provide solutions to component and system level failures REQUIREMENTS MUST • Bachelor's degree or above, and a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in developing audio products. • A Passion for audio, a self-motivation, and a desire to work in fast paced environment • Experience in developing mic system from concept to mass production • Experience in audio DSP tuning • Knowledge of product design & development, including exposure to CAD • Technical and Project Management skills to communicate and drive coworkers and suppliers • Experience using MATLAB/Python for audio analysis • Strong problem-solving & debugging skills under challenging conditions • Proven experience working within cross functional teams to reach fact-based decisions • Excellent written and oral English communication skills PREFERRED • Masters, or PhD. in Engineering • Experience within the automotive industry • Hands-on experience in measurements of acoustic components and vehicle audio systems • Knowledge of validation covering different environmental constraints (temp, humidity, and vibration), and regulatory compliance • Solid technical depth in audio products (acoustics and electronics), and in analog & digital circuit analysis • Individual Contributor and owner of the audio product design & development • Strong theoretical background in acoustics • Active driver’s license, must be in a good standing
