009K04-Senior Engineer I, Embedded Software Design

Responsibility Design, architect, and implement firmware in C to interact with various hardware to drive inverter based active filter products.Create and maintain communication code using protocols including SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN. (Ethernet nice to have)Create code to control on board and off board peripherals within the system. (Flash ,EEPROM, USB etc)Analyze, diagnose, and debug existing code.Design and execute test plans, including test automation.PC tools sustatining (C#)Manage firmware release product for multiple existing product lines and new products in development.Participate in board design processes such as providing input on hardware

to meet firmware needs and schematic review.Debug complex systems using Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power analyzer, etc.Create and maintain firmware documentation. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.5+ years C/C++ embedded systems development.Knowledge of embedded communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C, CAN, etc)Experience working in all parts of the software development process, including requirements definition, firmware development, testing, documentation, release, and sustaining development.Experience developing hard real time systems.Desired:Experience working with ARM processors.Experience working with TI DSP is a plus.Understanding of power electronics systems is a plus.Python experience is a plusKnowledge of industrial protocols, such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etcExperience working with GIT.Experience working with real-time simulationsExperience working in SCRUM based development process.
