Staff Engineer Product Test Engineering

Join Infineon and play a key role in driving product yield, quality, and cost performance for advanced semiconductor products. Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, technology transfers, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring the highest standards of product reliability and customer quality. Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Drive yield, cost, and quality performance for assigned products through close collaboration with Front-End (FE), Assembly, Clusters, and Business Divisions. Ensure products meet Infineon's quality and reliability standards through robust test strategies, test workflows, test programs, and effective quality assessment processes. Support new product introductions, stable production ramp-up, FE qualification activities, and technology transfer projects. Lead productivity improvement initiatives, including test time reduction, test insertion removal, test package optimization, burn-in hour reduction, and NLoZD projects. Conduct risk assessments and technical evaluations for deviation management activities such as DDM, ALF, MRB, PCRB, and related release platforms to ensure safe product releases. Support Failure Analysis and Reliability (FAR) activities through electrical test yield analysis, fault isolation, simulation, root cause analysis, containment actions, and permanent corrective actions using 8D methodology. Lead cross-functional improvement projects and project teams to deliver operational excellence, quality improvements, and business targets. Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, product robustness, and customer satisfaction. Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior engineers while fostering knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 4 years of working experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry. Strong technical knowledge in semiconductor product test engineering, manufacturing processes, or product engineering. Proven experience in yield improvement, quality management, failure analysis, and root cause investigation. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in leading projects, driving improvements, and achieving project objectives. Ability to mentor and support junior engineers while contributing to team development. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and willingness to take responsibility for business-critical decisions.
