Position Summary This role is responsible for end to end supply chain management, strategic supplier development, and PDI quality inspection for solar cell manufacturing materials, including silicon wafers, silver paste, printing screens, and production consumables. The position plays a critical role in ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, supplier capability, and incoming material quality, working closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Global Procurement teams. Key Responsiblities
Supply Chain Management • Develop and execute material supply strategies for solar cell manufacturing to ensure stable supply, optimal inventory, and cost efficiency. • Manage demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory optimization for wafers, metallization materials, printing screens, and consumables. • Monitor market trends for polysilicon, wafers, silver paste, screen suppliers, and consumable technologies to mitigate supply risks. • Drive cost reduction initiatives through localization, multi sourcing, volume leverage, and process improvements. • Coordinate with production planning to ensure on time material availability without impacting yield or throughput.
Supplier Management & Development • Lead supplier selection,

, and onboarding for key solar cell materials and consumables. • Build strong, long term partnerships with strategic Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers in China and internationally. • Conduct supplier audits, capability assessments, and periodic performance reviews (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness). • Drive supplier improvement programs focused on yield, consistency, cost, and technology roadmap alignment. • Lead contract negotiations, commercial terms, and risk mitigation plans with suppliers. • Support dual sourcing and localization strategies, especially for critical and high consumption materials.
PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) & Incoming Quality Management • Establish and manage PDI inspection processes for wafers, silver paste, printing screens, and consumables prior to shipment and upon receipt. • Define and maintain incoming quality standards, inspection protocols, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria. • Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations for incoming material defects affecting efficiency, yield, or reliability. • Work closely with suppliers on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous quality improvement. • Collaborate with internal Quality and Process Engineering teams to ensure material compatibility with cell processes (PERC, TOPCon, HJT, etc. if applicable). • Ensure compliance with ISO, internal quality systems, and customer specific requirements.
Cross Functional Collaboration • Partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, R&D, and Quality teams to align material specifications with process windows. • Support new material qualification (NPI/NQI) and pilot production ramp ups. • Provide technical and supply input for process optimization, yield improvement, and line stability initiatives. • Act as a key interface between global teams and local Chinese suppliers. Required Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain or related field. Experience • 8–12+ years of experience in solar PV manufacturing, semiconductor, or advanced materials industries. • Proven experience managing supply chain and supplier quality for wafers, silver paste, printing screens, or similar precision consumables. • Strong hands on experience with PDI / incoming quality inspection and supplier audits. • Demonstrated success in supplier development, cost reduction, and risk management. Technical & Functional Skills • Strong understanding of solar cell manufacturing processes and material impact on cell efficiency and yield. • Deep knowledge of wafer specifications, metallization pastes, screen printing materials, and consumables. • Expertise in quality systems, SPC, 8D, FMEA, and root cause analysis. • Solid understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, and demand planning. • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or equivalent preferred). Language & Communication • Fluent Mandarin is mandatory • Proficient English (written and spoken) to collaborate with global teams and suppliers • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Attributes • Experience working in Chinese solar manufacturing hubs (Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, or nearby regions). • Strong Exposure to TOPCon is a requirement. Additional exposure to HJT or advanced cell technologies is a plus. • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment. • Hands on, data driven, and results oriented mindset.
