Responsibilities:

-Functional specification of technical products and services

1.Identify customer needs and formalise them as technical specification documents

2.Study and know technical standards in China and Asia

3.Identify benchmark services/products on the market

4.Define functional validation tests and test plan

5.Agree upon technical

with potential suppliers

6.Carry out technical risk analysis

-Technical development

1.Be the VS technical interface with VS purchase department and potential suppliers.

2.Make sure that all Valeo technical standards are respected

3.With the legal department, guarantee legality of VS products

4.With the VS Quality department, ensure high product quality and validation standards

-Technical Presentation and support

1.Present Valeo workshop tools to customers and promote VS solutions

2.Contribute to trade fairs and customer shows

Requirements:

-Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Automotive or Transportation

-Knowledge in product engineering, validation processes and risk analysis

-Specialisation on automotive products

-7-9 years experience in in automotive or transportation industry

-Experience in mechanics, electronics and software

-Excellent language skills in English

-Involvement in technical development projects

-Customer relationship and communications skills needed (clear technical documentation and presentation, convincing technical presentation and high level support).

-Supplier relationships: Interaction at technical level

-Experience in automotive repair and knowledge of aftermarket solutions is welcome.
