Key Responsibilittes

1.Clinical Care System Development – Establish standardized clinical pathways across specialttes; develop diagnosttc criteria and operattng guidelines for key therapeuttc areas including metabolic, neurological, and oncological diseases. For areas lacking established veterinary standards, lead the evaluatton and adaptatton of authoritattve human medical guidelines (e.g., KDIGO, WHO/RECIST, AAHA/ACVIM) into locally applicable diagnosttc protocols and quality frameworks for canine and feline pattents.

2. Clinical‑Research Translatton – Serve as the primary bridge between clinical and research teams, translattng clinical observattons into research questtons and laboratory ffndings into acttonable diagnosttc/therapeuttc soluttons. Lead or parttcipate in preclinical and clinical studies (Phase I–III) of novel drugs/therapies, ensuring scienttffc rigor, regulatory compliance, and high data integrity.

3. Complex Case Management – Oversee diagnosis and treatment decisions for complex and rare cases; organize multtdisciplinary discussions (MDT) integrattng imaging, pathology, laboratory, and surgical experttse. Establish and maintain a difffcult‑case database to drive real‑world evidence‑based practtce opttmizatton.

4. Training & Talent Development – Mentor veterinary and scienttffc teams through case reviews, journal clubs, and hands‑on training to advance clinical experttse in internal medicine. Culttvate an integrated “clinical‑research” mindset, guiding early‑career veterinarians toward evidence‑based practtce and a clinician‑scienttst career trajectory.

Qualiffcattons

1.Educatton: Master’s or Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine, Comparattve Medicine, or Clinical Medicine; graduates from leading veterinary/medical schools in China or those with overseas veterinary training are preferred.

2.Experience: Solid foundatton in canine/feline clinical practtce, with deep understanding of small animal internal medicine or human internal medicine diagnosttc frameworks. Experience in GCP clinical trials, clinical pathway development, clinical guideline formulatton, or comparattve medicine research is highly desirable.

3.Competencies: Strong literature search, guideline interpretatton, and translattonal skills, with the ability to adapt human diagnosttc standards to veterinary setttngs; ffuency in English for tracking internattonal advances.
