Finance Assist. Manager - B&P

Commercial Support

1. Monthly analysis of SKU margins by country, highlighting all sku’s below agreed margin hurdles, and proposing appropriate corrective action.
2. Provide accurate financial information and leadership to the marketing team as well as giving advice, guidance and support on all financial matters, informing management of any potential issues impacting profitability.
3. Perform ad hoc financial feasibility studies on new products, including margin calculations and sourcing changes and advise on profitability.
4. Understand the costing process, product cost structures and the relationship to profitability, checking product costs for accuracy.
5. Prepare and distribute new products/launches performance KPIs, sales quantity, net sales, margin, and costs.
6. Management of the advertising and promotions budget, including monthly analysis of A&P actual expenditure against budget.
7. Manage the A&P internal orders process.
8. Provide financial analyses to support department heads in decision making.

Budget and LE Preparation

1. To assist in preparation of budgets/forecasts including volumes, pricing, VFC’s, freight, variances, NVO’s, A&P, reserves and tax.
2. Provide adjustment to budgeted/forecasted figures after reviews.
3. To work with Customer Development Teams (CDTs), marketing and finance departments in developing budgets and estimating monthly P & L’s monthly.
4. To assist in preparation of finance, sales, brand, and profitability review exhibits.

Controls and Compliance

1. Ensure pricing changes/ discounts are only loaded with sufficient approval from leadership.
2. Implementation of SOX remediation plan (relating to GTN findings), and SOX testing performed in a timely manner.
3. MDGM provides margin and net sales data for SKU creation/ extensions in line with MDGM deadlines.
4. Pro actively track marketing related to GRIR, and ensure no aging over 90+ days.
5. Ensure recons on the accrued advertising account are performed monthly.

REQUIRE

1. Bachelor's Degree Commerce-Accounting equivalent
2. 7+ FMCG working experience in the same field
