As Seat Comfort senior Lead Engineer - within the seat comfort development group, you will drive seat comfort attribute development, cross-domain coordination, team management, and ensure delivery of engineering. You will balance the comfort

and solutions from among others: Customer Needs, Ergonomics, Safety, Sustainability, Product Design, Attribute Leaders, and Manufacturing to an agreed and well-functioning seat. This is a very important and central role in our department process. This balancing is the base for all further development work. The role includes also to propose or design own suggestions and design solutions on existing platform architecture, working on seat comfort development with Tophat Block Leaders and seat suppliers for complete vehicle, with data for reporting in the various decision-making forums. In time, we also think that you should try on other comfort areas in the car to get even wider knowledge. Good communication skills are required in this cross-functional role and you will build and maintain an extensive network throughout the company. In summary, as Seat Comfort senior Lead Engineer, you are the technical leader of the seat comfort attribute to drive complete seat comfort development from early concept phase to series production across the full program lifecycle, providing a development path toward the attribute chief engineer role. • Deliver the seat comfort attribute plan and own the outcome. As the technical leader of the project’s seat comfort attribute, lead the decision-making on comfort targets, seating posture, pressure distribution, adjustability strategies and thermal comfort, output the seat comfort plan and be responsible for the results. • Coordinate the seat comfort development team and collaboration with various teams such as seat suppliers, interior design and engineering R&D, as well as ergonomics, NVH, thermal comfort and vehicle dynamics. Lead cross-functional technical reviews and resolve comfort conflicts to ensure feasibility across geometry, ergonomics, and assembly. • Lead the seat comfort development team, be responsible for task division, technical review, problem escalation, and mentor development. • Drive on-site seat comfort problem-solving during prototype build and lead comfort issue resolution during production ramp-up, tracking through to closure at SOP (Start of Production). • Drive seat comfort activities end-to-end: concept-phase target setting and benchmarking, engineering-phase seat development including foam and padding tuning, adjustability, heating, ventilation and massage functions, prototype/test issue rectification, and production-phase verification. Own the cadence of deliverables across all phases. • Report to the attribute UPL, take ownership of technical decision implementation, and partner with the Chief Engineer on technology planning, process optimization, and seat comfort technology accumulation. What you’ll bring • Technical education (BSc/BEng or equivalent) • 5+ years of seat or interior comfort development experience, with at least one full-cycle SOP vehicle program (Concept → Engineering → Prototype Build → Testing → Series Production) served as the seat comfort lead. • Solid knowledge of seat systems, seating ergonomics and human factors; familiar with comfort development methods covering pressure distribution, thermal comfort, vibration and posture analysis; capable of objective and subjective comfort evaluation. • Familiar with CATIA V5; familiar with Teamcenter Engineering, Vis Mockup, and other PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and visualization collaboration tools; capable of DMU (Digital Mock-Up) verification. • Hands-on seat comfort development experience on a BEV platform or an HEV/PHEV platform (experience on both is preferred). • Fluent in English written and spoken • Analytical and structured • Great communication skills and ability and confident to speak in front of larger groups • Technical- as well as leadership skills • Driven and self-managed, while being a good team leader • Positive and open-minded Want to know more?
