BCCM Validation Lead Engineer

·      Principally responsible for delivery of BCCM Functional/DV/PV testing for the global market to gain approval of BCCM

·      Create test cases according to the

from system and review with system team.

·      Ensuring right test rig set up and debug the function test rig with the system.

·      Ensuring validation test activity is delivered on time, and to the required data quality and delivery standards.

·      Ensure tests executed to correct plan & procedures & operating conditions, accurately and produce high quality data.

·      Establish, maintain and communicate accurate test plans, that clearly identify the timing and specific requirements of test facilities required.

·      Lead the issue resolution through established processes and standard JLR tools (AIMS/8D), and summary the report to the programme and leadership team

·      Compile accurate technical reports for DV tests as evidence for component and system sign-off and communicate clearly to all stakeholders.

·      Ensure DV tests are conducted safely and in accordance with JLR H&S policies.

·      Interface with customers of the department effectively. Lead interaction with customers and suppliers,

resolving any conflicts and escalating issues for resolution as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

·      Experience of OBC/DCDC validation test delivery including but not limited to, vibration, shock, corrosion, immersion, spray, thermal cycle/shock, high temperature endurance, humidity endurance, HV/LV test, EMC test and etc…

·      Can use related SW (CANOE, INCA, and etc…) to flash SW, log data and control rig.

·      Understanding of design principles and the application of quality tools within a product engineering

environment.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline and automotive test experience at least 3 years.

·      Able to prioritise workload and lead issue resolution either individually or as part of a cross-functional team.

·      Highly self-motivated and able to act on initiative.

·      Experience and proficiency in data processing and control system software

·      Flexibility to work between JLR sites and external test facilities

Desirable:

·      Understanding of OBC/DCDC design architecture in an automotive engineering environment.

·      Previous experience of issue resolution within a project team environment.

·      Use of software programming to assist efficient data processing (Excel VBA, Matlab, Xray).
