As a Drive Unit Systems Intern, you will be a member of design Drive Inverter from concept to volume production. You will get your hands on the most advanced simulation tools to support the engineering development of our next-generation products. RESPONSIBILITIES Complete the training materials and ramp up your learning curve quickly to get familiar with Tesla CAE tools/procedures. Build the Drive Inverter relevant CFD/CAE models from the ground up independently to solve the problems from the real world. Design and carry out tests to correlate your models. Deliver and present your analysis results with the global design team.

Master or PhD Candidates are preferred but rock-star undergraduates will be considered. Major in mechanical/automotive engineering or material science preferred. Proficiency in 3D modeling (CATIA) and simulation software, HyperWorks/ Ansa and Fluent/ Icepack/ Star CCM+ are preferred. Experience in Ansys Mechanical preferred. Strong engineering fundamentals and outstanding problem-solving skills with an interest in analytical and numerical techniques. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others on problems that are unusual or difficult. Demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex test scenarios with good logic and analysis, root-causing and resolving correlation issues. English speaking proficiency.
