Senior Engineer II, Embedded Software Technical Lead

As a Senior Engineer II, Embedded Software Technical Lead, you serve as the technical point of contact for design, co-design and brand labeling with supplier and program teams throughout the product lifecycle. You use both your deep expertise in Embedded Systems to guide the technical direction of embedded software solutions, ensuring alignment with system constraints and performance

. You drive technical decision-making, manage risks, and ensure design feasibility and security. You define and estimate technical efforts, including user stories and technical debt, to help achieve sprint goals. You lead technical activities based on prioritized backlogs and oversee product verification across various testing stages. Your mission is to influence and shape embedded software solutions that meet complex system requirements and industry standards. Your impact is reflected in the successful delivery of robust, secure, and high-performance embedded software product solution. You apply your expertise to identify issues, conduct research, and develop innovative solutions to technical challenges. Your work requires minimal supervision, and you seek guidance when needed. You r epresent the R&D team as a point of contact for the offer. You c ooperate with team member in China, North America, Europe and India on a regular basis. You follow Schneider design process and deliver the design documents on time and with quality. You c oach and mentor junior team members and new hires. You design solution which are cost competitive by applying design-to-cost concept thinking. Qualifications The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following criteria: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM. >7 years of product design experience (Embedded Design). At least 3 years as a Project Design Leader or Technical Lead. The following experience will be prioritized: Experience with Thermostats and HVAC application. Experience with Lighting (DALI, Dimmer, etc.) Experience with Building Management Systems Experience in OEM/ODM/ brand labelling contract manufacturing. Experience with Modbus and BacNet and/or other communication protocol. Experience on RTOS, Linux, VxWorks, Zephyr are all highly valuable. Experience in BootLoader, Uboot, or other OTA mechanisms. Experience in Zigbee, Bluetooth, LoRa or other wireless technologies. Experience in I2C, UART, SPI, MQTT, and protocols widely used in embedded systems. Experience in Cyber-Security, Safe Zone, Cryptography. Experience in Embedded AI is a plus. Knowledge of ASHRAE, ISO, UL, CE certification and regulation is nice to have. Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills. Proven experience in working with teams based in multiple geographies. Be a result-oriented team player. Leader & self-motivated.
