NVH expert is responsible for leading NVH development from concept phase to industrialization phase in program, including all aspects of sub-attributes Road NVH, Wind noise, Propulsion NVH, Climate & Thermal NVH, Audio performance & Interaction Sound, Operational Sound quality and Solidity. This role bridges R&D engineering, program and product to ensure Volvo vehicles meet global standards and

. • Target setting: Lead NVH target setting according to the Product Attribute Profile definition and benchmark result, give input to the concept team about China unique requirements to meet customers expectation. • Technical input: Lead NVH team to provide NVH technical input for each design/engineering release and related concept studies for each sub-attribute based on the development process VPDS. • Verification planning: Lead the attribute verification plan including virtual verification plan, physical verification plan and test resource plan based on the program content and timing and secure the program deliverables. • Attribute Risk management: Identify and manage the risk during the attribute development, take action to ask support and escalate if you can’t manage. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Program, Engineering, Attribute Team and other stakeholders, keep trust, collaborate and efficiency to deliver integrated and Volvo balanced vehicle attributes. • Resource management: Lead the resource plan both internally and externally, able to utilize the external resource with high efficiency. • Documentation and presentation: Prepare engineering reports, attribute status documentation and demo presentations for design reviews and certification gates. What you’ll bring • University degree in Sound and Vibration or Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Master degree or above is preferable). • 10+ years of experience in NVH area, lead NVH integration and development at least 2 programs. • Strong leadership in NVH attribute development, good at communication, cooperation and collaboration with stakeholders. • Strong responsibility and passion in vehicle attribute development and auto industry, proactive, self-driven and good learning ability during daily work. • Valid driver's license and proven ability to conduct NVH testing on proving grounds and public roads. • Familiar with CAE virtual verification process and result. • Fluent in English (written and spoken). • Self-driven and self-managed, while being a supportive and collaborative team player • Positive and open-minded attitude toward change and innovation.
