Data Scientist (Safety Strategies)

Analyze large datasets to identify business opportunities and optimize product performance. ● Develop data dashboards and visualization tools to track key performance metrics and provide actionable product insights. ● Assist in building scalable data pipelines to support WeChat’s operational needs and enhance platform security. ● Support high-impact machine learning and multimodal AI initiatives that strengthen WeChat's core product experience. ● Contribute to risk modeling and safety strategies that safeguard users and protect WeChat's platform integrity.

Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. ● Proficiency in SQL and Python (knowledge of C/C++/Go is a plus). ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. ● Strong sense of ownership, customer-oriented mindset, and integrity. ● Fast learner and effective team player with excellent communication skills. ● Prior internship or work experience in the tech or internet industry is preferred. ● Require bilingual proficiency as communications and materials are regularly shared in both English and Mandarin with the global and China HQ teams.
