Full Stack Developer, Enterprise Systems

Imagine what you can do here at Apple! Apple is a place where extraordinary people gather to do their lives' best work. We believe hard work, creativity, and innovation fuel the ultimate customer experience. Each customer engagement is an opportunity to delight, engage, and inspire – and by focusing on the smallest of details, we can make big impacts on our customers. We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with a solid background in building applications and services across both front-end and back-end, using Java/J2EE & Spring frameworks alongside modern client-side technologies, and who is comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate and improve the quality of software delivery. Work in an enterprise environment building innovative, end-to-end client-facing web applications — from database and services layer through to the UI. In this Software Engineer position, work on a team of software engineers building innovative, fast, and interactive applications incorporating the best technologies available, including AI/ML-powered capabilities. You'll work closely with our business collaborators and other partners to implement new solutions. In this role, work with other dedicated engineering minds across the company on some of the coolest technologies. Bring a passion for quality, a keen eye for detail, and curiosity for how AI can improve both the products we build and the way we build them, and you will be an outstanding fit. We need a motivated, critical problem solver with a sharp eye for detail, who can instrument, analyze, and identify bottlenecks in current processes — and use modern tooling, including AI, to come up with innovative solutions to address these. Come join us to do the best work of your life with a dedicated group of people. Bring your passion and dedication to the job and there's no telling what you could accomplish! As a successful teammate, help build innovative, full stack software applications spanning front-end UI, back-end services, and data layers. As a full stack software engineer, be a member of the team that implements new applications end-to-end, improves existing application features across the stack, while adding performance and software quality metrics to our codebase. Design and develop enterprise-level, highly available web application platforms applying Java, Spring frameworks, JPA & Hibernate, REST/SOAP web services on the back end, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React/Vue/Angular) on the front end. Develop prototypes and POCs to demonstrate new ideas or illustrate the use of new technologies — including generative AI and AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Apple internal AI coding assistants or similar LLM-based tools) — and how to apply them into our systems to improve developer productivity and code quality. Actively use AI-powered tools throughout the SDLC — for code generation, code review, test-case generation, debugging, documentation, and refactoring — to increase engineering efficiency and reduce time-to-delivery. Where applicable, integrate AI/ML-driven features (e.g., intelligent automation, recommendation logic, natural language interfaces) into enterprise applications to deliver smarter end-user experiences. Work with project managers, architects, technical leads, and vendors on defining the scope, achievement, deliverables, and resources needed for the project. Able to build a positive relationship with multi-functional internal organizations. Thrive in a multi-functional team on high-profile, critical projects. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical understanding, problem-solving, and communication skills, and an eagerness to adopt AI-driven tools and practices to work smarter. Effective presentation, oral, and written business communication skills with various audiences and levels. Able to empower with passion, mentor, and lead geographically distributed teams. Maintain focus and prioritize a challenging workload while achieving extraordinary quality.

Knowledge of securing applications, with a deep understanding of OWASP top 10 risks and solutions. Experience with Microservices, CI/CD, and container orchestration. Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., LLM-based code assistants, debugging/refactoring tools) to improve development speed and code quality. 5+ years of proven experience in architecting and developing event-based, distributed, highly available systems. 5+ years of proven experience and knowledge in developing and handling enterprise-level technology at a global scale. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, distributed cache, and a clear understanding of standard methodologies & problem areas while handling large distributed datasets. Experience in building e-commerce applications. Practical experience applying AI/ML in software development — e.g., using generative AI for code generation/review, prompt engineering, building or integrating with LLM-based services/APIs, or embedding intelligent automation into enterprise applications. Exceptional software engineering background with an outstanding body of work demonstrating experience in software development, solution architecture, and product management. Understanding of Microservice Architecture, SAP Cloud Foundry features & capabilities. Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, tools, and standard methodologies — including how AI-assisted tooling fits into modern SDLC practices. Solid understanding of source control software (SVN or Git), experience with build and deployment tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle), and experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks. Sharp problem-solving skills and real-world systems deployment experience. Consistent track record with rapid development cycles and demanding schedules. We seek a self-starter, forward-thinking person with strong leadership capabilities and genuine curiosity about applying AI to drive engineering efficiency.
