• Define product safety

based on modeling, industry standards, and past test results, guiding product design with clear technical documentation · Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and service teams to integrate modeling insights into product development · Develop and support execution of test plans to validate both models and adherence to product safety requirements · Analyze test data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in thermal safety systems · Document findings, prepare reports, and present recommendations to stakeholders · Support compliance with industry standards and regulations related to thermal safety · Stay updated on emerging technologies in thermal modeling software and testing methodologies What You'll Bring · Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience · Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion, and fluid mechanics · 3+ years of experience in thermal systems modeling and/or computational fluid dynamics (CFD), using tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL, MATLAB/Simulink, STAR-CCM, Fluent, OpenFOAM, and FDS · Experience in test planning and execution, including instrumentation, data acquisition, and safety protocols · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail · Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment · Strong communication skills for technical reporting and team interactions · Experience with battery systems, electric vehicles, and/or energy storage technologies is a plus
