Lead Software Engineer-Device Modeling

Design, develop, and maintain compact device models for advanced semiconductor technologies • Develop high-quality software solutions in C/C++ for device modeling platforms • Analyze and improve model accuracy, convergence behavior, robustness, and runtime performance • Investigate and resolve challenging technical issues reported by customers and internal teams • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable and production-quality EDA solutions • Explore and apply AI-assisted development methodologies to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and technical problem-solving efficiency • Contribute to new modeling methodologies, AI-enabled engineering workflows, and performance optimization initiatives • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture design for future product development

MS degree with 3–4 years of relevant industry experience, or PhD degree with 1–2 years of relevant industry experience • Strong background in semiconductor devices and device physics; experience with compact device modeling is highly desirable • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and software development • Good verbal and written communication skills in English • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills • Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities Preferred Qualifications • Experience using AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or similar technologies) to improve coding efficiency, debugging, testing, and technical problem solving • Interest in applying AI technologies to device modeling, software engineering, or engineering productivity improvements • Familiarity with the development and maintenance of Verilog-A or VHDL models • Knowledge of numerical analysis, scientific computing, and matrix-based algorithms • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl • Knowledge of circuit analysis and simulation tools, such as Spectre What Sets You Apart • Passion for semiconductor technology and software engineering • Curiosity and enthusiasm for solving complex technical challenges across multiple disciplines • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a collaborative R&D environment • Growth mindset and willingness to leverage emerging AI technologies to improve engineering effectiveness and innovation • Strong ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
