Lead Application Engineer – CFD for Turbomachinery

Position Description： Collaborate with the Sales team to identify and define customer opportunities in automotive and new‑energy powertrain systems, pumps, compressors, and turbomachinery, enabling successful adoption of Cadence physical system turbomachinery solutions. Lead technical evaluations and benchmark activities, demonstrating the accuracy, robustness, and performance benefits of Cadence CFD turbomachinery technologies. Provide hands‑on technical support throughout customer projects, including model setup, workflow optimization, simulation validation, and performance analysis across the full development cycle. Deliver technical training, workshops, and product demonstrations to accelerate customer proficiency with Fidelity CFD, Fidelity Charles, and related Cadence physical system tools. Act as a technical expert on challenges involving combustion, thermal management, internal flow, turbomachinery aerodynamics, and multiphysics coupling. Work cross‑functionally with R&D, Product Engineering, and Marketing to communicate customer

and contribute to product roadmap development. Support customers in building automated and scalable simulation workflows, including parameterized modeling, batch execution, optimization, and data analytics. Position Requirements： Master’s degree or above in Energy and Power Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Fluid Machinery, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or related fields. 5+ years of CFD experience in pumps, compressors, turbomachinery, or related automotive applications. Strong foundation in fluid dynamics, turbulence modeling (RANS/LES/DES), heat transfer, multiphase flow, and combustion. Proficiency with CFX, Fluent, STAR‑CCM+, etc. Preferred experience in turbomachinery aerodynamics, cavitation, and rotating machinery flow simulation. Experience with simulations for pump flow passages, compressors, and turbine/impeller components. Experience with NUMECA tools (FINE/Turbo, Fine/Open, AutoGrid, etc.) is a strong plus. Experience with or familiarity with Cadence Fidelity CFD ，Fidelity Charles and ANSA are highly preferred. Scripting skills (Python, Shell, etc.) for process automation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Self‑driven, eager to learn new technologies, and committed to customer success. Strong teamwork and customer engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.
