Trademark Attorney

The Intellectual Property Team of Atlas Copco Wuxi is responsible for managing different Intellectual Property aspects of the business areas of Compressor Technique and Power Technique, including 11 divisions and their group companies around the world. We are currently looking for a qualified Trademark attorney to strengthen IP team and help grow our IP portfolio and protect business. An important mission of the position is to stimulate the identification and development of Intellectual Property (IP) of our group companies in China by supporting Trademark case and related enforcement case. The Trademark attorney will also work with global Intellectual Property team of Atlas Copco Compressor Technique and Power Technique and will: • Developing and managing trademark portfolio in line with divisional IP strategy and local IP policies to support business area. • International communication with external IP law firms and IP offices, with our internal communication and marketing departments and with the different IP teams within the Atlas Copco Group. • Conduct trademark related searches and provide professional advice on TM registration. • Monitoring the public appointment in trademark registered database in China regularly and deploy practical guidelines and procedure when any conflicted TM affects Atlas Copco’s reputation and business. • Investigate files concerning potential infringement on our IP rights and assist in setting up and implementing action plans in collaboration with internal businesses, Atlas Copco Legal department and external experts. • Support and maintain connections with e-commerce, social media platforms and administrative department to support IP protection outcome. • Maintain and further develop the internal databases or system with detailed TM files and reports. • Give training on trademarks to the employees and IP team of Atlas Copco Compressor Technique and Power Technique. Knowledge & Experience • Education: LL. B; or equivalent Law Degree • Licensed attorney admitted to practice law • Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Intellectual Property Law, Brand Protection, or IP litigation with solid knowledge of trademarks and copyright. • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
