(Sr.) Principal Investigator,Non-Oncology Therapeutics

• Provide scientific leadership for drug discovery programs across immunology, inflammation, autoimmune diseases, and related therapeutic areas. 
• Define and drive scientific strategies supporting target identification, target validation, mechanism-of-action studies, translational research, and candidate selection. 
• Partner with research scientists to develop and execute research plans that address key project objectives and portfolio priorities. 
• Integrate findings from discovery biology, pharmacology, translational sciences, biomarkers, bioinformatics, DMPK, and chemistry to advance program goals and support critical decision-making. 
• Serve as a key scientific representative on cross-functional project teams, governance committees, and portfolio reviews. 
• Identify scientific opportunities, risks, and decision points, and develop strategies that accelerate program progression. 
• Guide scientific teams through rigorous evaluation of hypotheses, experimental outcomes, and emerging external data. 
• Mentor scientists and foster a culture of scientific excellence, innovation, accountability, and collaboration. 
• Contribute to scientific publications, patents, external collaborations, due diligence activities, and scientific conference presentations. 
• Effectively manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed research environment.

• PhD in Immunology, Pharmacology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Translational Medicine, or a related life sciences discipline. 
• Deep expertise in immunology, inflammation, autoimmune diseases, or related therapeutic areas. 
• Industry drug discovery experience preferred but not required. 
• Demonstrated record of scientific achievement through impactful publications, patents, significant contributions to drug discovery programs, and/or advancement of therapeutic candidates. 
• Strong understanding of in vitro biology, in vivo pharmacology, or both. 
• Demonstrated ability to develop scientific strategy, solve complex research problems, and generate insights that advance drug discovery programs. 
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and matrix leadership skills. 
• Strong team-player mindset with the ability to influence without authority. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

Provides scientific leadership, mentorship, and coaching to research scientists and project teams. Direct people-management responsibilities may be assigned depending on organizational needs and candidate experience.
