Product Life-Cycle Engineer

Job Responsibility: Participation in development teams for new products starting in the early concept phase with responsibility for conduction of the entire target costing process until product launch. Conduction of competitive product analysis and cost breakdowns of relevant products from competition especially in the concept phase of new products. Participation in development teams for new products starting in the early concept phase with responsibility for planning, documentation and implementation of the global supply chain and the market supply concept ranging from supply sources (suppliers, GPCs), as well as semi-finished and finished parts, up to the customer. Preparation for Make or Buy decisions and production location. Support cost benchmarking for cost reduction projects. Provide Product Life-cycle Monitoring report for new product development, including target/planned/actual cost and volume development data. Planning of possibly staggered market launch concept together with Product Management, Sales and Business Units. Job

Bachelor degree in engineering, mechanical engineering or similar courses of study with technical background. Fluency in spoken and written English (preferred CET-6), and good technical / engineering knowledge both in Chinese and English. Strong analytical and strategic mind with willingness to solve problems and find ambitious solutions. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Strong motivation and willingness to work independent and to take on responsibility. Strong toughness to continually drive the cross-function team moving forward until the target achieving. Good willingness for travelling, approximately 20% time for travel. Over 3 years of relevant business experience is necessary Preferred 2 or more related positions in: manufacturing, supply chain management, purchasing. Preferred industrial background: Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electronic, Medical, Automotive, Automatic.
