Offer Project Quality Lead

requires significant cross-functional leadership across Quality, Engineering, Industrialization, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Services and regional business teams. The individual must be capable of moving seamlessly between factory-level quality concerns, complex supplier issues and critical field/customer escalations. The objective is simple: ensure that quality is built into the offer, maintained throughout its lifecycle, and rapidly restored when performance falls below expectations. Key Responsibilities

1. 01

   Regional Offer Quality Ownership Own the overall Quality performance of the assigned offer portfolio throughout APAC. Define and maintain appropriate regional quality objectives, priorities, KPIs and improvement roadmaps. Monitor quality performance from suppliers and manufacturing through customer installation and field operation. Identify emerging quality risks and ensure appropriate preventive action is initiated before issues become customer-impacting. Provide clear Quality leadership and decision-making during significant product, manufacturing, supplier or field-quality events. Ensure effective surveillance plans are established for the offer portfolio and appropriately executed. Maintain visibility of systemic quality risks and escalate significant risks to appropriate business and Quality leadership. Partner with global Offer Quality and Line of Business stakeholders to ensure APAC priorities are represented in global quality decisions.

   SITX Quality Leadership The preferred candidate will be based in Shanghai, China , with a strong on-site presence supporting SITX . Responsibilities include: Serve as the principal Offer Quality interface for SITX for the applicable offer portfolio. Provide oversight and governance of quality performance associated with products manufactured or supported by SITX. Partner closely with SITX Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrialization, Supply Chain and local Quality teams. Review recurring defects, production escapes, nonconformities, rework and customer-impacting quality trends. Challenge containment and corrective-action effectiveness. Ensure that lessons learned from factory issues are translated into permanent process, design, supplier or quality-system improvements. Lead or support escalation when factory performance presents unacceptable customer or business risk. Drive structured continuous-improvement initiatives with site leadership.

   Supplier and Third-Party Quality This position will have substantial responsibility for the quality of externally supplied products, components and services. Provide regional leadership for supplier qualification and supplier quality performance associated with the offer portfolio. Support or lead qualification of new suppliers and third-party manufacturing partners. Participate in and/or lead supplier process and quality audits. Evaluate supplier manufacturing capability, process controls, inspection systems and quality-management maturity. Lead resolution of critical supplier-quality issues. Ensure robust containment, root-cause analysis, corrective action and effectiveness verification. Work closely with Procurement and Supplier Quality organizations to establish sustainable supplier improvement plans. Identify high-risk or underperforming suppliers and establish focused recovery programs. Travel directly to supplier and third-party manufacturing sites when hands-on intervention is required. Schneider Electric's Supplier Quality framework specifically calls for supplier auditing, qualification, preventive solutions, containment, correction, prevention and improvement plans. The SoR's QEF8 Supplier Quality Manager / Multi-Country also covers multi-country supplier performance, supplier audits, coaching and direct management of the most complex or critical supplier issues.

   Field Quality & Critical Issue Resolution Own or coordinate the Quality response to significant field issues affecting the APAC offer portfolio. Ensure rapid containment when customer or business exposure exists. Establish structured root-cause investigations involving the appropriate Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Services resources. Lead cross-functional 8D, A3, root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities as appropriate. Ensure corrective actions address root causes rather than symptoms. Verify effectiveness and sustainability before issue closure. Identify systemic or recurring failure modes across customers, factories, suppliers and countries. Ensure field learnings are reintegrated into product design, manufacturing processes and supplier requirements. Coordinate escalations for significant Technical Risk, Business Risk, Safety or major Quality events in accordance with Schneider Electric processes.

   Continuous Improvement The APAC Offer Quality Lead will be expected to move the organization beyond reactive problem solving toward systematic prevention . Responsibilities include: Build and execute a regional continuous-improvement roadmap. Use quality and field-performance data to identify recurring failure modes and improvement opportunities. Facilitate structured problem-solving workshops. Prioritize improvement initiatives based on customer impact, business risk, recurrence and operational performance. Drive cross-functional improvement projects spanning Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement and Services. Establish mechanisms to capture and replicate lessons learned across APAC. Promote preventive quality methodologies and reduction of Cost of Non-Quality. Establish leading indicators wherever possible instead of relying exclusively on lagging failure metrics.

   Integrated Management System & Quality-System Governance Assuming that by IMS you mean the Integrated Management System , I would explicitly make it part of the position rather than treating it as a secondary responsibility. Support effective deployment, maintenance and continuous improvement of applicable Quality and Integrated Management System requirements. Ensure regional processes are aligned with Schneider Electric policies, procedures and quality standards. Support internal and external audits and ensure resulting findings are effectively closed. Monitor recurring audit findings and drive systemic corrective actions. Ensure robust document, process and change control related to offer quality. Promote consistent quality methodology and governance across participating APAC sites. Ensure compliance with applicable quality-management and customer requirements.

   Cross-Functional Regional Leadership This role will operate heavily through functional leadership and influence , including situations where resources do not report directly to the APAC Offer Quality Lead. The individual will: Lead cross-functional quality teams across multiple APAC countries. Partner with Engineering and R&D on product/design issues. Partner with Manufacturing and Industrialization on process-quality issues. Partner with Procurement and Supplier Quality on external supplier performance. Partner with Supply Chain on containment and product-availability decisions. Partner with Services and Customer-facing teams on field issues. Influence decision-making at plant, regional and global levels. Act as an escalation point when functional teams cannot independently achieve timely resolution. Communicate Quality risks, customer impact and corrective-action status clearly to senior leadership. Travel Requirements Regional travel is an essential requirement of the position. The successful candidate must be able and willing to travel throughout APAC, including: Shanghai and other locations within China Australia Thailand Third-party suppliers and manufacturing partners throughout the region Schneider Electric manufacturing, engineering and customer locations as necessary Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline. Significant professional experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality or product/offer lifecycle management . Demonstrated experience leading complex quality issues across multiple functions. Strong background in: Offer/Product Quality Supplier Quality Manufacturing Quality Root-Cause Analysis Corrective and Preventive Action Continuous Improvement Quality Management Systems Supplier/Process Auditing Field Failure Investigation Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a multinational organization. Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert quality data into actionable priorities. Ability to make fact-based quality and risk decisions under time pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluent professional English required. Location: Shanghai, China or Xiamen Geographic Scope: APAC, with primary focus on China, Australia and Thailand Travel: Significant regional travel required, including regular travel to manufacturing locations, third-party suppliers/partners and Schneider Electric sites across APAC Position Overview The APAC Offer Quality Lead is responsible for driving end-to-end quality performance for the assigned offer portfolio across the Asia Pacific region. This role serves as the regional quality leader and primary point of accountability for Offer Quality, Supplier Quality, manufacturing quality, third-party quality, field quality, customer quality issues and continuous improvement . The position will have a particularly strong connection to the SITX facility in Shanghai , serving as the Offer Quality leader responsible for coordinating quality performance, issue resolution and continuous improvement associated with the facility and the offers it supports.
